YA / CYPN Meeting – September 2025

Last week we held our September 2025 Youth Alliance Children and Young People’s Network (YA/CYPN) meeting at Moorways Sports Village. A big thank you to the 60+ professionals who attended!

Highlights from the event

• Everyone Active at Moorways – Jessica, Dean and Jay showcased Everyone Active’s community programmes, with a focus on their youth initiatives. Jay also spoke about his involvement with Ozzy Wheels, a local BMX club. Find out more about the offer for young people and families at Moorways here

• Safe and Sound – Iain shared an overview of the charity’s vital work supporting children and young people, emphasising how they actively listen and respond to the needs young people raise. Find out more about Safe and Sound here

• Family Hub Derby – Emma presented the autumn/winter what’s on guide for families in Derby, covering services from dad’s groups to breastfeeding support. Find out more about Family Hub Derby here

• 1625 Outreach (Change Grow Live) – Jade and Miya introduced their early drug prevention work for young people, delivered both in educational settings and out in the community, including at festivals. Learn more about 1625 Outreach here

• Surtal Arts – Gopa highlighted their creative projects and upcoming events as part of the Derby Season of Light 2025. Explore Surtal Arts’ work here

• Networking & discussion - Attendees also had the opportunity to network and take part in discussions around city centre safety and family support.

Looking ahead
