In the Seniors group, students take their performance skills to the next level. This is where everything comes together, from advanced acting methods to powerful vocal performances and dynamic dance routines. Seniors are heavily involved in our full-scale productions and are often preparing for auditions, exams, and even professional opportunities. These sessions are designed to refine their skills and prepare them for future careers in the arts or simply for the joy of performing at a high level.

Indoor climbing at Alter Rock is a unique and exciting activity for teenagers in Derby. The Youth Club is available to people of all abilities. Both Friday and Saturday groups have a great mix of boys and girls, beginners and experienced climbers.
No previous climbing experience necessary, our instructors will teach you all of the skills needed to climb safely indoors and help each individual progress as far as they want to go in the world of indoor climbing.

All Youth Theatre groups work towards an annual show that is produced for the stage at Derby Theatre.
Please be aware that the Youth Theatre is very popular and we have a waiting list in place for all the groups.

Our gymnastics programme is suitable for both children who have never done any gymnastics before as well as those who want to expand their skill set and enter competitions. It’s a great choice of activity to keep your children fit and active whilst improving their overall confidence.
We split our classes by age and gender 4-7yrs ,8-12yrs and 11yrs+. The children are then grouped by age/ability within the session. Our girls focus on floor, vault, beam and bars, and our boys work floor, vault, high bar, p-bars and rings.
