Last Thursday morning we held our bi-monthly Youth Alliance / Children and Young People’s Network meeting at Harrison’s Hub at Pride Park stadium.
As well as some informative presentations and the opportunity to network with an ever growing group of professionals, we were briefly able to go pitch-side!
Thank you to our hosts and speakers:
Derby County Community Trust - Matt and David informed us about their community programmes around Mental Health and Wellbeing, and in-school mentoring.
1625 Outreach - Beth informed us about the work that Change Grow Live and specifically her team 1625 Outreach do around prevention and education for young people who may be accessing or more vulnerable to drugs and alcohol.
Derby City Council and Safe and Sound - Adele and Tracy opened up a conversation with the group around White Ribbon Day, and how they would like a joined up approach in the city on this year's campaign, for it to be organised and created by young males in our schools and community groups.
Thank you too, to all those who attended with open minds to collaborate with other service providers to improve and increase provision for our children and young people in Derby City.
